Eu Law are rules that are addressed to all countries or Member States that are a part of the EU. These rules must be followed by all Member states of the EU or in other words, the governments of of these Member states.

Eu Law is an overarching instrument(s) which consists of Treaties which ate the backbone of EU law or in other words "Primary law". Secondary law such as Regulations, directives and European court of Justice cases all derive their basis from the treaties. There is always or in the majority of cases an interplay between EU law and Member states national law. To clarify, national laws are always transposed from the EU law. Having this system creates predictability and clarity for persons residing and businesses operating within the European Union as the laws are never too different from one member state to another. Comprehension of EU law means that one one basically understands the rules of ALL member states. Thus, EU law is an umbrella to national member states laws, to state the lest.
